A clean energy future for everyone

Welcome to the Second Atomic Age

We build mass-manufactured nuclear plants that will power anything from a datacenter to a city. Our mission is to eventually achieve 3ยข / kWh electricity. Our first product will be the Aalo Pod, a 50 MWe power plant purpose-built for data centers. We've raised $136M to help us get started.

Technology

Modularity for rapid on-site assembly

Aalo reactors strike the optimal balance between economies of numbers, and economies of scale. Costs are reduced through factory assembly of reactor modules. Construction time is reduced through simple on-site assembly. This reduces compounding interest that has inflated the cost of traditional nuclear, and makes timelines more predictable.

Metallic coolant and fuel unlocks optimal economics

Liquid metal is able to extract heat from the reactor core much faster than water or gas. This means Aalo reactors can produce up to 10x more energy than other nuclear technologies of a similar physical size.

Low pressure coolant enables simplified safety systems.

Nuclear power is already one of the safest forms of energy generation. With low pressure liquid sodium coolant, our systems are designed for passive safety including 72-hours of unpowered decay heat removal, diverse and independent shutdown mechanisms, and inherent negative reactivity in the core.
